Are you looking for an easy and delicious way to enjoy your favorite sloppy Joe flavor in a bite-sized appetizer? Sloppy Joe sliders are the ideal finger food for your next party, family gathering, or game-day spread. Along with a side dish, sloppy Joe sliders are perfect for an easy, family-friendly weeknight meal.
What Are Sloppy Joe Sliders?
Sloppy Joe sliders are mini sloppy Joe sandwiches for a crowd. Instead of full-size buns, we will pile the sloppy Joe meat onto soft and delicious Hawaiin rolls, topped with cheese.
What Are The Ingredients In Sloppy Joe Sliders?
A printable recipe card can be found below.
- Homemade Sloppy Joe Meat – This super easy recipe can be prepared in less than 30 minutes.
- Hawaiian Rolls – These soft, melt-in-your-mouth rolls are the perfect size. The flavor of the rolls, combined with the sloppy Joe meat, is a match made in slider heaven.
- Cheddar Cheese – Cheddar makes almost everything better, and these sliders are no exception. I think the sharpness of the cheddar goes well with the sweetness of the rolls.
- Butter and Italian Seasoning – We will mix melted butter with the Italian seasoning and brush it on the top of the rolls. This gives the sliders just a little more delicious flavor.
How To Make Sloppy Joe Sliders?
- Begin by preparing the sloppy Joe meat. If you are using canned sloppy Joe sauce, follow the instructions in the recipe card notes.
- Then slice the top half off the Hawaiin rolls.
- Split the meat evenly on the lower half of the Hawaiian rolls.
- Top each slider with shredded cheese.
- Place the tops back on the sloppy Joe meat.
- Melt the butter and mix with the Italian dressing packet.
- Brush on the Italian dressing mixture.
- Bake and enjoy!
Variations
- Instead of the homemade sloppy Joe meat, canned sloppy Joe sauce can be combined with browned ground beef.
- Ground turkey can be used in place of the ground beef.
- Dinner rolls can be substituted for Hawaiian rolls.
- Sesame seeds can be sprinkled on the rolls after the Italian seasoning/butter mixture is spread.
What To Serve With Sloppy Joe Sliders?
- More appetizers (if serving as an appetizer)
- Roasted Potatoes With Onions
- Fries
- Tater Tots
