Description

Are you looking for an easy and delicious way to enjoy your favorite sloppy Joe flavor in a bite-sized appetizer? Sloppy Joe sliders are the ideal finger food for your next party, family gathering, or game-day spread.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 pound Sloppy Joe meat
  • 18 Hawaiin rolls
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • Italian dressing packet
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Follow the instructions for the sloppy Joe meat. If preferred, prepare 1 1/2 pounds of ground beef with canned sloppy Joe sauce according to the instructions.
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half and place them in a baking dish or on a large sheet pan
  3. Top the lower halves evenly with the sloppy Joe meat and shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Place the tops back on the rolls.
  5. Melt the butter and mix with the Italian seasoning packet. Brush the butter mixture on the tops of the rolls.
  6. Bake in a preheated 375-degree oven for 13 minutes.
  7. Seve individually.

Notes

  • Ground turkey can be used in place of ground beef.
  • Dinner rolls can be used in place of the Hawaiian rolls.
  • After the Italian dressing mixture has been brushed on the rolls, sesame seeds could be sprinkled on the sliders.
  • Pickles can be placed on the sliders after the cheese.
  • Freshly shredded cheese is far better than packaged shredded cheese. I use my food processor to shred the cheese quickly.
