How To Make Spiked Milkshakes
Let’s get started whipping up this alcoholic chocolate milkshake recipe.
First, you may be asking what is a good alcohol to put into chocolate milkshakes? There are options, but my preference is a tasty chocolate liqueur. I used Godiva chocolate liqueur in this recipe and for most of my chocolate liquor drinks.
I really didn’t even need to mix the chocolate liqueur with anything, but the ice cream was calling. So a spiked milkshake was needed.
Now back to the alcoholic milkshake recipe…
First blend three cups vanilla ice cream, one cup chocolate liqueur, and four tablespoons chocolate sauce in a blender. I am hard on blenders and this one has lasted me longer than any other that I have owned.
If you want to be extra awesome use a milkshake blender. My grandma had one and it was always so much fun making milkshakes at her house.
Granted, you could only make one serving at a time, but it was still fun as heck.
Now, pour the milkshakes into glasses. I found this retro looking milkshake glass a thrift shop for a quarter!!
Amazon has some very similar milkshake glasses with great reviews.
Then, top the yummy boozy chocolate milkshake with whipped cream and additional chocolate syrup.
There you go, one of the best alcoholic ice cream drinks that you will find. So easy too!

I kept it simple, but feel free to let your imagination run wild and spike this shake up another notch. Oreos, whipped cream, and a simple cherry tops this off just right.
